Tip for washing fleece, especially ones with a lot of grease.
I used to have a lot of trouble washing Rambouillet fleece which has a lot of
grease in. It would turn to a matted mess and lots of washing later still not
good!
Someone recommended a horse washing soap to me, (no kidding) called
ORVUS. It is wonderful, and I have not looked back! Just wash the same
as you would with normal dish washing liquid . I usually use about two
tablespoons full of Orvus paste to a pound of dry wool. Warm water. Warm
rinse. Do not agitate. Short spin. Air dry.
Can be purchased from Animal and Feed stock suppliers.
